Suit for damages

Kimberly and Kevin Fuss, 637 Route 940, Pocono Lake, filed a civil complaint against Scott Strohl, 105 Princeton Ave., Palmerton, seeking damages for injuries sustained in an accident.

The suit states on Nov. 16, 2015, Kimberly Fuss exited the Palmerton hospital, where she was employed, and was walking to her vehicle when she was struck by a vehicle operated by the defendant, causing her to fall and suffer injuries, which are detailed in the suit.

Negligence is alleged and sought are damages in excess of $50,000 plus interest, costs and fees.

Revenue from deeds

Carbon County Recorder of Deeds Emmett P. McCall reported his office recorded 253 deeds, 161 mortgages and 326 other writs during the month of March.

As a result of those transactions, McCall turned over to the Carbon County General Fund the sum of $26,213.51. A breakdown of that revenue includes: transfer fees, $21,110; data processing fees, $1,750.52; notaries, $100; commission on transfers and writs, $2,296.89; and Affordable Housing administrative fee, $956.10.
