State police at Lehighton reported investigating a one-vehicle crash at 9:18 p.m. on July 31 along Route 248 in Lower Towamensing Township, Carbon County.

Troopers said Kristy L. Hanlon, 42, of Whitehall, was operating a 2014 Hyundai Elantra westbound in the right lane when she heard a crack and saw the front windshield was broken. Hanlon then lost control of the car and the front left quarter panel and tire hit the median on the left side of the road.

Hanlon then attempted to counter steer back into the left lane and traveled across the left and right lanes and the front right tire and bumper hit a barrier on the right side of the road.

There were no injuries and the vehicle had to be towed.
