Walnutport Borough Council, on a 6-0 vote, with Councilman Harold Greene absent, took the following action at Thursday’s workshop:

• Agreed to offer a vacant Public Works position to candidate No. 1, whose name will publicly be announced at the Dec. 19 council meeting once the candidate notifies the borough if he accepts the position.

• Accepted the letter of resignation from police officer Dean Heffelfinger, effective Nov. 20.

• Approved the following Walnutport Authority terms that expire Dec. 31: Ronald Kuntz, two-year term; Susan Schneck, five-year term; Dennis Green, two-year term; and Rica Cook, four-year term.

• Approved a 2018 addendum agreement in relation to the water main project on Lincoln Avenue.

• Announced that council will hold its reorganization meeting at 7 p.m. Jan. 6.

• Agreed to meet at 7 p.m. July 2, which will be council’s only meeting that month.
