State police at Lehighton reported investigating a one-vehicle crash at 7:02 a.m. on Monday along Evergreen Road in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County.

Troopers said Jonathan J. Lopez, 20, of Saylorsburg, was driving a 2018 Jeep Renegade westbound when he began to lose control while negotiating a left hand curve. The Jeep went off the road and onto a grassy area, hit a ditch, traveled back onto the road before rolling down an embankment and coming to rest.

Lopez reported a minor injury and was treated at the scene by West End ambulance personnel. The Jeep was towed.

Troopers also reported on a crash that occurred on June 11 along Hahns Dairy Road in Lower Towamensing Township, Carbon County. Troopers said Trevor J. Rockwell, 19, of Allentown, was westbound while Lori K. Smith, 54, of Saylorsburg, was eastbound. Troopers said Rockwell attempted to swerve around a pothole and crossed over into the eastbound lane when the left front of his 2007 Suzuki struck the right front of Smith’s 2016 Ford Fusion.

Rockwell had a minor injury but refused medical attention. Smith was not injured. The Suzuki was towed from the scene.
