Schuylkill County Court

Two Coaldale residents received county prison terms in decisions by President Judge William E. Baldwin on Aug. 9.

Ian C. Hamilton

, 37, pleaded guilty to recklessly endangering another person, with the charge stemming from his arrest on Aug. 9, 2017. He was sentenced to six to 23 months and must also perform 10 hours community service.

George J. Bonetsky,

41, was sentenced to 72 hours to six months, pay a $1,000 fine plus $454 in fines and costs. His license will be suspended for 12 months. He must complete Alcohol Highway Safety School and 10 hours community service.

Four local residents had their probation revoked in decisions by Judge John Domalakes.

Tina M. Hosier

, 33, of New Philadelphia, was arrested by Tamaqua police on Aug. 6, 2015, on charges of possession of controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was resentenced to serve six to 12 months on the charges.

Karen L. Rimsky

, 35, of Coaldale was arrested by Tamaqua police on June 10, 2015, on charges of manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to deliver and criminal use of a communications facility. She must serve the balance of her original sentence, with a new maximum date of March 25, 2020, and she is eligible for parole on Nov. 15.

Samuel Smolar

, 30, of Tamaqua was arrested by Rush Township police on March 19, 2018, on charges of intentional possession by a person not registered and use/possession of drug paraphernalia. His new maximum date is June 30, 2020, and he is eligible for parole on Oct. 30.

Jeremy E. Plasko

, 42, of Tamaqua, was arrested by Tamaqua police on May 20, 2018, on a charge of defiant trespass. His probation from that charge was revoked and he was sentenced to four to 12 months.

In a decision by Judge Charles Miller on Aug. 15, a Tuscarora woman was sentenced to time served to 12 months in county prison.

Katherine M. Fergel

, 34, was arrested by Pennsylvania State Police on May 8, 2018, on a retail theft charge. She was sentenced to time served to 12 months and must pay $200 in fines and costs. Fergel was also arrested by Rush Township police on Aug. 17, 2018, on possession of controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia charges. She will be on probation for 12 months on those charges.
