Schuylkill County Court

A Tamaqua woman is headed back to Schuylkill County Prison, charged with violating the conditions of her parole, which were imposed after a May 1, 2017, arrest.

According to a ruling by Schuylkill County Judge John J. Domalakes on Jan. 7, Vanessa M. Zapotosky

, 28, Tamaqua, will get no credit for the 172 days at liberty on parole, and must remain in county prison until Aug. 8, 2019. She will only be granted parole if she is accepted into an inpatient drug and alcohol facility.

Zapotosky was arrested May 1 by Pottsville Police Department officer Grant Yoder and charged with giving false identification to a law enforcement officer, and use/possession of drug paraphernalia.

Connie A. Holcomb

, 55, of Tamaqua, had her application for parole denied Jan. 10 by President Judge William Baldwin. Holcomb is being held in Schuylkill County Prison on a charge of simple assault since Oct. 10. The court will not consider another application for parole until Feb. 4.

Troy Fairchild

, 46, Lehighton, withdrew a prior not guilty plea and entered a plea of guilty to delivery of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver, criminal conspiracy and possession of a controlled substance. Fairchild was arrested Sept. 7, 2018. by Tamaqua Police Department officer Thomas Rogers. Fairchild was committed to the Department of Corrections for an evaluation to determine whether he will be sentenced to the State Intermediate Punishment Program. He will be sentenced at a later date.

Todd Matthew Miller

, 25, Weatherly, withdrew a prior plea of not guilty and entered a guilty plea to DUI, possession of marijuana, use/possession of drug paraphernalia and improper sunscreening. He was arrested May 2, 2017, by McAdoo Police Department officer William Curilla. He will be sentenced Feb. 21.

Jennifer K. Wisser

, 36, Tuscarora, is required to make restitution to Rarick Coal and Fuel in the amount of $395. Wisser was arrested July 10, 2018, on a bad check charge by Tamaqua Police Department officer Thomas Rogers. Wisser will also be on probation for a period of 12 months and must pay all costs of prosecution.

Lauren Ann Garrett

, 28, Barnesville, was sentenced to one to 12 months in Schuylkill County Prison on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. Garrett was arrested April 30, 2018, by Mahanoy City Police officer Thomas Rentschler. Her sentence began Jan. 8, less credit for nine days served.

Micah Kates

, 41, Lansford, on Jan. 11 withdrew his prior not guilty plea and entered a plea of guilty to DUI. Kates was arrested December 2, 2017 by West Penn Township Police officer Jason Lorah. Kates will be on probation for six months, and must pay fines and costs related to his case.
