A winter weather advisory continues until 10 a.m. for freezing rain and additional ice accumulations of around one tenth of an inch.

The temperature will rise throughout the day to a high near 44. East wind 3 to 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Rain will continue through Friday when there is a chance of snow showers in the afternoon.

The following schools have announced delays:

• Jim Thorpe School District is operating on a 3-hour delay today, Thursday, Feb. 6. No Pre-k will be held at Penn Kidder.

• Pleasant Valley is also operating on a 2-hour delay today.
