The Schuylkill County Conservation District has awarded a $143,755 grant to Rush Township. The grant is for Low Volume Road Maintenance, and the selected roads are Kelly and Ye Olde Hauto roads.

Supervisor Robert Leibensperger applied for the grant and learned this week that the Conservation District had approved the project for funding. Rush Township will receive half of the grant money up front, with the remainder to be awarded upon completion of the project, which is slated for Dec. 31, 2020.
