CCTI students collect items for Army Reserve packages

The National Technical Honor Society at Carbon Career & Technical Institute sprung into action again with a request to assist with collecting items for the Army Reserve troops.

The Jim Thorpe American Lehighton Post 304 is preparing care packages to be sent to the troops currently deployed overseas, and the NTHS students stepped up to help.

All 14 technical areas participated in the collection as a competition to collect as many items as they could.

A total of 1,457 toiletries, snacks, puzzles, decks of cards, handheld video games, books, puzzles, pencils and batteries were items collected.

The winning technical area (Auto Service Technology) will be given a pizza party sponsored by the NTHS students as their gratitude for participating.
