Tamaqua’s Jada Schellhammer tossed a perfect game and Northern Lehigh’s Kaitlin Hoffman fired a no-hitter to highlight area softball action on Wednesday.

Tamaqua’s Jada Schellhammer delivered a four-inning perfect game as Tamaqua cruised to a 22-0 rout of Lourdes.

Schellhammer struck out nine batters during the perfect performance.

Miranda Chinchar crushed a home run and a triple, while driving in five runs for the Raiders. Courtney Hoffman (two hits, three RBIs and two runs scored); Brooke Zellner (two hits, two RBI, two runs scored); Schellhammer (three hits, two RBIs, two runs scored); Jen Frederickson (two hits, two runs scored); Maxine Beers (three hits, four runs scored); Taylar Donnon (two hits, two RBIs, three runs scored); and Madison Matsago (two hits, two RBIs, two runs scored) also had huge offensive games.
