Miller Keystone Bloodmobile will be at the American Fire Company, 26 E. Patterson St., Lansford, from 1 to 6 p.m. Feb. 5.

Hometown Heroes

Lansford American Legion Post 123 is now accepting applications for its Hometown Heroes banner program. The program began last year.

Banners are displayed for up to three years before it is retired to the sponsor. The cost to sponsor a banner is $200.

Those who wish to honor a veteran, living, deceased or currently serving in the military, should submit a completed application, payment payable to American Legion Post 123, the veteran’s discharge papers and a photo of the veteran to Lansford American Legion Post 123, PO Box 193, Lansford, PA 18232, attention: Christine LeClair or hand delivered to the post home.

Applications can be obtained by calling Nate or Christine at the Lansford American Legion at 570-645-9795 or via email at Post123Lansford@gmail.com.

The deadline to submit an application is March 31. The post notes that this will be the only application period for 2019 and cannot accept applications after the deadline.
