Palmerton Police log

Palmerton Police Department reported on the following incidents:

Possessing instruments of crime:

Zachary Siler, 20, Kunkletown, was charged with possessing instruments of crime, misrepresentation of age to secure liquor, and carrying false identification, for an incident May 18 in the 600 block of Delaware Avenue.

Possession of drug paraphernalia:

Bryan Smale, 54, Palmerton, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, and unlawful possession of a controlled substance, for an incident May 19 at Mauch Chunk Road and Walnut Street.

DUI:

Autumn Urena, 20, Easton, was charged with two counts of DUI, accidents involving damage to unattended vehicle or property, duty to give information and render aid, careless driving, reckless driving, and underage drinking, for an incident May 4 in the 900 block of Edgemont Avenue.

Public drunkenness:

Stephen Susel, 50, Palmerton, was charged with public drunkenness, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, and disorderly conduct, for an incident March 18 in the 300 block of Lehigh Avenue.

Stephen Meleschuk, 59, Palmerton, was charged with public drunkenness, simple assault, and harassment, for an incident June 12 in the 800 block of Delaware Avenue.

ID theft:

Jordan Graver, 28, Lehighton, was charged with identity theft, theft by deception, and receiving stolen property, for an incident that occurred between September and December 2015 in the 700 block of Church Street.

Harassment:

Melissa Wayda, 29, and Peter Wayda Jr., 32, Palmerton, were charged with harassment, for an incident on June 12 in the 400 block of Fourth Street.

John Rostocki, 63, Palmerton, was charged with harassment and simple assault, for an incident March 30 in the 700 block of Edgemont Avenue.

Maximum gross weight:

Flavio Martinez, 38, Bound Brook, New Jersey; Jaime Velascu-Zapata, 58, Elizabeth, New Jersey; Cristhian Averos, 34, Bloomfield, New Jersey; and Edison Alvarez, 45, Jackson Heights, New York, were charged with maximum gross weight, for an incident June 8 at Mauch Chunk Road and Franklin Avenue.

Citations:

Police also issued two citations for traffic violations, and one for vehicle violation.
