Kids Christmas toy bingo

Parryville Volunteer Fire Co. No. 2, 359 Main St. is hosting a kids Christmas toy bingo at 1 p.m. on Sunday. The doors and kitchen open at 11 a.m. Advance tickets are $20. Call 484-347-3928. Cost is $25 at the door.

Palmerton VFW

The Palmerton Memorial Post 7134 will meet at 7 p.m. Monday. The meeting will take place at the VFW Post, 2020 Forest Inn Road, Palmerton. The group welcomes veterans to join them. They meet the second Monday of each month.

Community meal

A free community meal will be served at St. John’s UCC, 891 Columbia Ave., Palmerton from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. All are invited to enjoy a meal and fellowship.

Family history

Do you know who your family is? There’s a chance to find out. Come to the Palmerton Area Library, 402 Delaware Ave. from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday to learn how to research your family history. This is held the second Tuesday of each month.

Quilt Guild

The Sew What Quilt Guild will meet at the Palmerton Area Library at 7 p.m. on Dec. 13. New members and visitors are always welcome. Please use the side door. This group meets the second Thursday of each month.

Holiday chorus

The Holiday Homecoming Chorus presents “Songs of Christmas” at 7 p.m. Sunday at First United Church of Christ, 457 Delaware Ave., Palmerton. The director is Joseph Plechavy and the accompanist is Laura Cressley. Sponsored by Country Harvest Family Market.

Class of 1970

Palmerton Area High School Class of 1970 is having a meeting to discuss plans for the 50-year reunion. The meeting will be held at the Palmerton Hotel at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. For those planning to attend, please RSVP Diz.

Library Christmas party

The annual Palmerton Area Library kids Christmas party will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Dec. 17. Stories, snacks, games and crafts for kids in kindergarten through third grade. Call the library at 610-826-3424 to reserve a spot for your child. The event is sponsored by the teen group.

Support group

The monthly Grief and Loss Support Group at Jerusalem United Church of Christ, 545 Church Drive, Trachsville will meet at 1 p.m. Dec. 12. Directed by a professional counselor, this group is for people experiencing grief due to trauma, loss or death. Everyone is welcome. There is no cost. Call 610-681-4412 for information.
