In voting items Tuesday night, the Palmerton Area School District board of directors:

• Approved a change order decreasing a Midline Mechanical contract by $107,680.58.

• Approved the transfer of $4 million from the general fund to the capital reserve fund.

• Approved the nomination of Sherry Haas to the Carbon Lehigh Intermediate Unit #21 board of directors for a three-year term from July 1 through June 30, 2022.

• Approved student teacher Hillary Starinieri to work with Joyce Paulhino at Towamensing Elementary for 30 hours during the spring semester.

• Approved the resignation of Victoria Gerard, cafeteria employee, effective Feb. 28.

• Approved Jessica Suarez as a part-time cafeteria employee, effective March 20, at the rate of $12.68 per hour.

• Approved the resignation of Kimberly Ottinger from the position of assistant board secretary, effective March 1.

• Approved Courtney Collins as a substitute nurse effective March 20 at the rate of $90 per day.

• Approved the revised 2018-19 school calendar and the 2019-20 school calendar.

• Approved interpreting contracts with Jacqueline R. Funk and Kelly M. Deibert.

• Approved the first reading of policies on safety, buildings and grounds, and school visitors.

• Approved the contract with The Safeway Driving School Inc. for July 1, 2019, through June 30, 2022.

• Approved a memorandum of understanding with Star Wellness Center Inc. for mobile dental van services.

• Accepted the donation of $100 from the Towamensing PTO, Inc. to the Palmerton High School National Honor Society Activity Club for baby-sitting services for meetings.

• Approved the group sales contract with the Museum of the American Revolution for the May 10 National Honor Society/Gifted field trip.

• Approved the agreement with B-Flat Entertainment, DJ Brian N. Stephens for the March 29 junior high school dance.

• Approved June 10 as the graduation date for the Class of 2019.

• Approved Francis Cross as a substitute custodian at the rate of $10 per hour.
