Bethany EC Church

Bethany EC Church, 222 North St. holds Sunday worship at 10:45 a.m. with the Rev. Jeff Stansbury, pastor.

Sunday school is at 9:30 a.m. with classes for all ages, including adult Bible study class; fellowship time, 10:15 a.m.; preschool nursery available and Jr. Church provided for children in kindergarten through sixth grade.

Thursday: Men’s Bible study at McDonald’s, 5:15 a.m.

Friday: Wrapped in Prayer Ministry, 7 p.m. Open to anyone in the community who might like to share in the ministry by crocheting or knitting shawls for individuals in need of spiritual comforting.

Crossroads Community Church

Crossroads Community Church, 580 Coal St., holds Sunday worship service with Pastor Kevin McGraw. It is a place for a fresh start with God.

Adult Sunday school at 9:30 a.m.; contemporary worship service at 10:30 a.m. with nursery available; children’s Sunday school at 11 a.m.; fellowship following service.

Trinity Happenings

Sunday worship at Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. Third St., with Holy Communion begins at 9:30 a.m. Gluten-free wafers are available to those with allergy issues. The Rev. Nancy Moore presides. Vicar Richard Bergen assists.

Dedication of the new cranberry-colored Evangelical Lutheran Worship hymnals is June 23. The green-colored Lutheran Books of Worship will be repurposed.

For those desiring to arrange a baptismal date, Pastor Moore will share information Sunday at 11:30 a.m.

Do you love to sew or want to learn? Attention to youth grades 5 and up to attend a sewing group to complete a service project. Sessions will be 10 a.m. to noon July 9, 16, 23, 30 in the youth room. Register by contacting the church office before July 7.

Mark your calendars for Vacation Bible School from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Aug. 5-9, with the theme “Who’s Your Neighbor? Learning to Love Like Jesus.” Volunteers are needed and welcomed to help. Contact the church office to register.

Jacob’s UCC

Jacob’s UCC in Weissport will host Vacation Bible School from 6:30-8 p.m. July 28-Aug. 1 for children ages 3 to 12. This year’s theme is “Jacob’s Farm.”
