Legion auxiliary members visit Hometown Nursing Center

Members of the American Legion Auxiliary Tamaqua Post 173 visit the Hometown Nursing Center recently for the group’s annual Christmas visit. The group also visited the fifth floor geriatric unit of St Luke’s Miners Campus in Coaldale. Each resident received a gift. This year that was Dave Hegarty of Tamaqua. Front row, from left, are Emily Beltz, 2019 Poppy Queen; Melissa Weaver; Santa (Howard Davis); and Mrs. Claus (Lois Davis). Back row, Jennifer Beltz, Ron Creitz, Lynne Creitz, Nancy Kabana, Ann Marie Blashock, Kristy Melchior, Renee Arner of Hometown Nursing Center, Dave Hegarty, and Margaret Hegarty CONTRIBUTED PHOTO
