Pocono Greyhound Adoption with be hosting The Greyt Hound Hustle 5k Run/Walk and Dog Walk on Sept. 22, at Beltzville State Park.

Registration begins at 9 a.m. and the 5K starts at 10 a.m. There will be awards for the top three overall male and female and for age group winners. There is also a fastest team event.

There is a free raffle of gift cards and baskets for all participants after the race. There will also be plush greyhounds hidden throughout the course that can be found for a prize.

The group encourages the walking of any breeds of dogs on the course so bring your four-legged friend. This is a unique course that meanders through the woods and past the lake.

Pocono Greyhound Adoption’s mission is to provide education to the public about retired racing greyhounds and raise funds in order to care for and place retired greyhounds in their forever homes. Volunteers and their greyhounds will be available to meet and greet and answer questions about greyhound adoption.
