Crashes investigated

State police at Fern Ridge reported investigating the following crashes.

A one-vehicle crash was reported at 7:32 p.m. on Saturday along Camelback Road in Jackson Township, Monroe County. Troopers said Wilfredo Torres Jr., 26, of West Chester, Chester County, was driving a 2009 Mazda RX8 southbound when he lost control in a right curve. The Mazda traveled off onto the left berm and rolled into the woods.Torres and his passenger, Michael Torres, 27, of Pocono Summit, were not injured. He was cited for driving a vehicle at an unsafe speed.A one-vehicle crash was reported at 7:20 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Sugar Hollow Road and Sweet Birch Lane in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County. Troopers said Dolphus H. Jackson, 29, of East Stroudsburg, was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Uplander northbound on Sugar Hollow Road when the right front end hit the guardrail on the right. The vehicle then spun with the left front hitting the left guardrail before coming to rest. Jackson was not injured but the vehicle had to be towed.Troopers cited Jackson for driving a vehicle at an unsafe speed. West End Fire Company fire police assisted at the scene.Another one-vehicle crash occurred at 8:29 p.m. Wednesday along Gilbert Road in Chestnuthill Township. Troopers said Monica L. Taylor, 17, of Effort, was driving a 2001 Honda Civic northbound and attempting to negotiate a curve at too high a rate of speed, causing her to lose control. The car traveled across the lanes of travel and into yard where it struck a tree before turning over onto its roof.Taylor and passengers Amber M. Bross, 15, Effort, and Tristan A. Storm, 16, of Blakeslee, were all taken to Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, by West End ambulance for observation, troopers said.Taylor was cited for driving a vehicle at an unsafe speed.A one-vehicle crash was reported at 5:43 a.m. along Interstate 80 in Kidder Township, Carbon County. Troopers said Dylan Kelly, 23, of Boonton, New Jersey, was driving a 2003 Honda Civic eastbound and attempted to avoid a deer that had entered the road. The Civic struck the deer, then left the road and rolled over onto the berm. Kelly sustained a minor injury but did not require immediate medical attention. The vehicle had to be towed.A one-vehicle crash occurred at 1:19 p.m. Oct. 28 along Route 715 in Chestnuthill Township. Troopers said Tara M. Quackenbush, 40, of Brodheadsville, was driving a 2006 Chevrolet Malibu northbound and negotiating a curve when she lost control and overcompensated. The vehicle struck the guardrail.Quackenbush sustained a minor injury but did not require immediate medical attention. The vehicle had to be towed.She was cited for the crash.
