A Carbon County inmate faces more charges after he popped the lock to his cell to fight another inmate after they got into an argument.

Julian Javier Santiago, 28, of Brooklyn, New York, was charged with escape for the Aug. 20 incident.

According to the affidavit, Nesquehoning police were called to the jail after Santiago left his cell in the restrictive housing unit.

Police found that the door’s lock was rigged so that it couldn’t lock properly.
