• The 13th Annual Keep Slatington Beautiful Clean-Up Day will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday.

The cleanup will be staged at the Slatington Borough Maintenance Garage on West Church Street. Interested individuals and groups who wish to participate and help keep their community, parks, and trails clean, are asked to report to the West Church Street location for an assignment.

Please dress appropriately: sturdy shoes and long sleeves recommended. Light lunch and refreshments will be provided to all participants following the cleanup.

• Walnutport Canal Cleanup will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday. Meet at the Walnutport Canal Pavilion, Lehigh Street, Walnutport.

Please bring your own gloves and tools will be supplied. Refreshments will be provided by Thrivent Financial.

• St. Nicholas Catholic Church will host the third Annual Purse Bingo at the Diamond Fire Company Bingo Hall, 110 Main St., Walnutport on Sunday April 21. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. Bingo starts at 1 p.m.

• Slatedale Fire Department’s Bingo is from to 4 p.m. Sundays at the fire hall, 3922 Main Street, Slatedale. Doors open at noon.
