Veteran hair stylist opens Palmerton shop

A new hair salon is ready to serve customers in Palmerton.

C A Creative Hair Design, at 378 Delaware Ave., has been open since April 1, said owner Jessyca Fredericks.

Fredericks said the salon currently only has one employee, though it is looking to hire a dedicated hairstylist to join the team.

Fredericks said the salon’s location is perfect for all customers, as there are no steps to enter or exit, allowing easy access for walkers or wheelchairs.

“This location is just a beautiful way to promote community, and allow for clients to enjoy the view of (the) vibrant main street,” Fredericks said.

Fredericks said the salon provides coloring, cutting, waxing and fades, and is a place to make women’s, men’s, and children’s hair dreams and needs come true.

She explained she believes what sets her business apart from her peers in the industry “is my love of hair.”

Fredericks previously owned a shop in Aquashicola for 11 years, and then worked with another salon for several years before deciding she missed her own business.

“Now that I have my own shop again, I am happy to say that I am ready to give each client a personable experience,” she said. “I want my shop to be a welcoming and accessible place, and for that reason, I feel that my prices are comparable.”

Fredericks said she wants to provide “exceptional hair at affordable costs.”

“My overriding goal is to provide the community with my 27 years of unwavering passion for hairstyling, and provide my clients with hairstyles they will feel confident in and love. “Hair is so crucial in every moment of a person’s life, so I want to make sure they love their hair, and create memories with amazing hair.”

Fredericks said she hopes her passion for hair will shine through.

“I take pride in making people feel good about looking good,” she said. “I want to give them their own image of self beauty.

Fredericks also believes the amenities inside her shop will also appeal to her clients.

“I also want my salon to be welcoming with cool colors, complementary coffee, TVs, and warm and welcoming staff,” she said. “Not to mention getting to know my customers and delivering my services time and time again.”

Fredericks said the business plans to hold an open house from 1-4 p.m. May 18.

CA Creative Hair Design is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, and closed on Tuesday and Sunday.
