One must ask why so many Republican row officer holders are supporting a Republican, Sydney Wernett, on the Democratic ticket? Some people out there are spreading false rumors that Sydney is a Democrat. Sydney beat Tyra Boni on write-ins on the Democratic side. What about those who are able to file on both tickets?

Those who work and deal with the Clerk of Courts know where the problems are and that the First Deputy is the one who can answer all the questions. Regarding the turnover in the office, Commissioner Chris Lukasevich said it best at a public meeting. The reason for turnover is not always because of salary, but because of poor leadership and work environment.

Former employees would call it a toxic environment and employees are afraid to speak publicly or complain, fearing retaliation or termination. That is why, I, Carbon County Commissioner Wayne E. Nothstein, support Sydney Wernett.
