A Lehighton man has died as a result of a motorcycle crash Saturday in Franklin Township.

The Lehigh County Coroner’s office said John Bogoski, 47, of Lehighton, was pronounced dead on Saturday at 9:53 p.m. at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest.

Bogoski was riding a motorcycle that veered off the roadway at 5:15 p.m. in the area of the 1700 block of Fairyland Road, Franklin Township, just west of intersection with Harrity Road.

He was traveling with two other motorcyclists.

The victim was treated at the scene by Lehighton paramedics before being transported to LVH-Cedar Crest.

Franklin Township fire police maintained traffic control at the scene, shutting down the roadway.

Franklin Township police are investigating the incident.
