Man turns himself in for 2017 robbery

A Northampton County man, wanted for an armed robbery that occurred late in 2017, turned himself in to Lehigh Township police and is now in jail.

Steven Poliquin, 29, of Lehigh Township, was arrested for the armed robbery at Turkey Hill at the intersection of Blue Mountain Drive and Lehigh Drive that occurred on Dec. 17, 2017. Poliquin contacted police to turn himself in for the armed robbery.

The initial incident was reported when a man wearing a mask and brandishing a firearm entered the store and held up the clerk. Poliquin provided police with details about the robbery.

Poliquin was charged and transported to Northampton County Prison Central Booking. He was arraigned by District Magistrate Richard Yetter, and remanded to the prison under $45,000 bail.
