Police are actively searching. for fugitive Shawn Christy in Richland County, Ohio, according to reports this afternoon and evening.

According to scanner and news station reports, Christy was spotted earlier today. Police are searching in an area near an apartment complex where he was believed to be.

The police are using K-9 units to search for Christy.

The Mansfield News Journal is also reporting that Dog the Bounty Hunter says he has joined the manhunt for fugitive Shawn Christy.

Wednesday afternoon, Duane Chapman said by phone from his home in Hawaii that he was retained by a friend of the Christy family who he cannot identify publicly.

Christy is wanted for threatening the president and Northampton County District Attorney John Morganelli
