A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a Lansford woman who failed to return to the Carbon County Correctional Facility after being released for treatment.

Alexis Goldberg, 24, of 146 W. Patterson St., has been charged with escape, a felony charge. The type of treatment wasn't specified, but she is awaiting trial on a robbery charge.Arresting officer Timothy Wuttke of the Nesquehoning Police Department wrote in the affidavit that Goldberg had been furloughed from the Carbon County Correctional Facility on Aug. 25 to attend treatment at the Salvation Army in Harrisburg. The court order stated that "if the defendant leaves treatment without prior order of court or without immediately returning to the Carbon County Prison, it will be treated as escape by the court."Wuttke said in his affidavit that he contacted Goldberg's lawyer on Oct. 1, who said she was discharged from the Harrisburg facility and taken to a bus station.
