Probation in 10 Schuylkill cases

Schuylkill County judges have recently placed a number of people on probation.

Melissa Baer, 20, of Tamaqua, was sentenced by Judge James Goodman to a year's probation on charges of harassment and disorderly conduct stemming from a July 23, 2013, incident involving Nicole Hazlett and Norma Fritz, both also of Tamaqua.George Bonetsky IV, 35, of Coaldale, on charges of possession of a controlled substance and retail theft stemming from an April 29, 2013, incident in Hometown. Judge John E. Domalakes sentenced Bonetsky to 18 months of probation. He must also pay $67.72 in restitution to Wal-Mart, and pay court costs and fees.Sophia Covach, 24, of Shenandoah, was charged by Rush Township police with retail theft and receiving stolen property following a July 5 incident in Hometown. Domalakes sentenced her to one year of probation. She must also pay court costs, fines and fees.Joseph Counterman, 31, of Lehighton, was charged on March 30, 2013, by Rush Township police with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia in unit block on Forest Avenue in Barnesville. Domalakes sentenced him to one year of probation. He must also pay court costs, fines and fees.Tiara Kelly, 27, of Pottsville, was charged on Sept. 18, 2013, by Tamaqua police with fleeing and eluding, retail theft, disorderly conduct, failing to obey traffic control devices, turning signals and failure to carry a driver's license. Domalakes sentenced her to 23 months of probation. She must also pay court costs, fines and fees, and serve 20 hours of community service.Lisa Kelly, 45, of Pottsville, was charged on Sept. 18, 2013, by Tamaqua police with retail theft and receiving stolen property in the same incident as Tiara Kelly. Domalakes sentenced her to one year of probation. She must also pay court costs, fines and fees.Krystal M. Ogilvie, 31, of New Ringgold, was charged on Sept. 20, 2013, by Rush Township police with retail theft and receiving stolen property. Domalakes sentenced her to one year of probation. She must also pay court costs, fines and fees.Brian Scott Fritz, 37, of Tamaqua, was charged on Aug. 3, 2013, by Tamaqua police with possession of a prohibited offensive weapon and public drunkenness. Judge James Goodman sentenced him to two years of probation. He must also pay court costs, fines and fees.Tyler Elo, 21, of Cumbola, was charged on Aug. 3, 2013, with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to drive at a safe speed. Goodman sentenced him to 11 months of probation. He must also pay court costs, fines and fees.Heather Loar, 27, of Summit Hill, was charged on May 16, 2013, with hindering apprehension by Coaldale police. Goodman sentenced her to one year of probation. She must also pay court costs, fines and fees.
