LGNC art show opens

Published July 28. 2014 04:00PM

Lehigh Gap Nature Center is hosting the second Nature in Art Show at the Osprey House from now through Aug. 3.

Twenty-nine works have been entered, including a variety of media from watercolor to oil to acrylic to sculpture and ceramics. All the works are from local artists and most of the art is for sale during the show.

The exhibit is free and open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, plus from 6 to 8 p.m. on July 31.

A People's Choice award will be given to the item that gets the most votes from the public visiting the show.

On Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m., there will be an artist's reception to close the show. Anyone who purchased art can pick it up at that time, and the public is welcome to meet the artists and talk about their work.

For directions to the Osprey House at LGNC, see www.lgnc.org/maps-directions or call 610-760-8889 between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
