The Lansford Community Pool will be closed Monday for necessary repairs.

Mary Ann Krajnak, manager of the pool, said a problem with a pipe has caused the closure.She reported Sunday afternoon that the water level of the pool must be lowered to allow the contractor to bring in equipment to make the repair."Hopefully it will only take one day to repair," she said.Krajnak added that the Howard D. Buehler Memorial Pool at Bungalow Park in Tamaqua informed her that they will honor Lansford pool tags Monday and anyone from the Panther Valley School District would be charged the Tamaqua daily rate.Krajnak thanked the community for their understanding; as well as The Bungalow for their help during this matter.
