Ashley Kagan, 30, of Shenandoah, has been arrested by state police at the Frackville barracks on a charge of retail theft.

Police said she attempted to steal $67.45 worth of merchandise from the FYE Store in the Schuylkill Mall, New Castle Township, at 11:46 a.m. Dec. 9.The items included a blanket, socks, a wallet, a cup and a USB cord.
