State police at Fern Ridge reported investigating two one-vehicle crashes on Tuesday on roads in Chestnuthill Township.

At 9:12 a.m. Ronald Kennedy, 58, of Brooklyn, New York, was driving a 2000 Jeep Cherokee southbound on Route 115 when the vehicle went onto the west berm and struck a boulder. Kennedy was not injured.The second crash occurred at 4:38 p.m. as Mari A. Monte, 58, of Effort, was driving a 2002 Volkswagen Golf on State Road when the vehicle left the road and crashed, troopers said.Monte was injured and taken to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, by West End ambulance. West End Fire Company volunteers and fire police assisted at the scene.She was cited for the crash, troopers said.
