The combined worship services of Lent between Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran and Jerusalem UCC, Trachsville, St. Matthew's UCC, Kunkletown, Salem UCC, Gilbert, and Salem-St. Paul Lutheran, Kresgeville, will be held at Jerusalem UCC on March 20. Soup and sandwiches are from 6:30-7:30 p.m., and worship begins at 7:30 p.m. The guest preacher will be the Rev. Michael Eckroth.
An Easter Egg hunt will be held at Palmerton Memorial Park on Saturday, March 23, at 11 a.m. The hunt is open to the public for ages 0-10. The rain date is Sunday, March 24, at 3 p.m.
An egg hunt will also be held on Saturday at the Palmerton Borough Park beginning at 1 p.m., sponsored by the Palmerton Area Service Club, for children ages 1-10. Raindate is Sunday, March 24, 1 p.m.
Children should bring their Easter baskets. There will be many prizes chanced off.

Holy Trinity Lutheran
Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 502 Lafayette Ave., Palmerton, will observe its last Wednesday evening Lenten Service on March 20. Supper is from 6-7 p.m. with worship from 7-7:30 p.m.
On Palm Sunday, March 24, services are at 8 and 10:45 a.m. Maundy Thursday services on March 28 are at 7:30 p.m. Good Friday services on March 29 are also at 7:30 p.m.
Palmerton Camera Club meeting
The Palmerton Camera Club will meet Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 5th and Lafayette, Palmerton.
The program, presented by photographer Roger Smith, will be about shooting weddings. It will focus on the challenges of wedding day photography and how to overcome them. The program is directed to a person who has photography skills and equipment, with limited or no wedding experience.
An extensive slide show of the four basic parts of the day, and discussion times to review each part, is the format. Smith's equipment, special wedding items, and Storybook Wedding Albums will be on display.
This month's photo challenge subject is "Emotions or "Fuzzy"." You may bring your images to the meeting.

Tail Waggin' Tutors, Kids Read to Dogs, takes place the second Saturday of each month from 11 until noon. The event is free, but parents must preregister for a time slot by calling the library at (610) 826-3424. The next program will be April 13.
The Third Monday Book Club meets the third Monday of each month from noon until 1 p.m. and discusses a different book each month. On April 15 the club will be discussing "Minding Frankie" by Maeve Binchy. New members are always welcome.
Library volunteers from 2012 will be honored at 9 a.m. on Thursday, April 25 during the "Breakfast of Champions.
