Palmerton Area Libraryhosts student art show

There were 65 pieces of art work entered in the second annual Student Art Show at the Palmerton Area Library. The pieces included watercolors, pencil drawings, pastels, acrylics, oil paintings and wood sculpture. This painting by Madison Mahler, titled "My Flowers," won first place in the age 6-12 category. The works were completed by students in grades 1-12 from the Palmerton area. Art was judged by members of the Friends of the Library who sponsored the show. Other winners in the age 6-12 category are: second place, Jesse DeKorte; third place, Isabella Mujevic. In the 13-18 age category the winners are: first place, Kiera Gasper; second place, Lenaick Zelienka; third place, Austin Luers. Winners received monetary prizes from the Friends of the Library.
