Monroe break-ins

State police at Lehighton are investigating two burglaries at Monroe County locations.

The home of Dominick Anthony Porzillo, 63, at 207 Scenic Drive, Polk Township, was entered by breaking a rear bedroom window. Once inside the criminals removed a Smith & Wesson model 34, .22-caliber gun, serial number 7203162. The entry occurred sometime between March 25 and Tuesday, July 2.

A residence along Arrow Lane, in the Robin Hood Lake East development in Polk Township, was entered through a basement window. Troopers said rooms were entered, items were moved, and an obscene word was taped to a living room coffee table. The owner was not identified by troopers.

The incident occurred sometime between Jan. 1 and Wednesday, July 3.
