Lodge secretary and volunteer Scott Winterburn sends food down one floor to the social hall with the use of a dumb waiter during a recent fundraiser at the Tamaqua Elks Lodge. In recent years, members had modernized it with an electric motor, rather than using the old string and pulley system.
