Two persons were injured late Tuesday night when involved in a crash along SR209 in Mahoning Township. The crash occurred just after 9 p.m. on the Mansion House Hill between Lehighton and Jim Thorpe. The accident involved a tractor trailer, driven by Robert Mitchell, 46, of Glassboro, N.J., which was heading south, and a sport utility vehicle, driven by Robert Stidham, 77, of Jim Thorpe, traveling north. The SUV came to rest on its side along the west berm with members of the Lehighton Fire Department having to remove the roof of the vehicle to extricate Stidham.
