Ryan's Oil & Heating defeated Vesuvio's, 78-52, on Wednesday to capture the 2013 Eastern Schuylkill Recreation Commission (ESRC) Winter Basketball League Championship. It marked the fourth straight ESRC Winter Basketball League Championship for Ryan's Oil & Heating and it's seventh Winter League Championship in the past eight years.

Ryan's got off to a blistering start by knocking down five of its nine three-pointers in the game's first 10 minutes to take a 27-23 lead. Ryan's then increased its lead to 43-33 at halftime behind 11 first-half points from Jon Scheuer.Scheuer led Ryan's with a game-high 20 points, including four three-pointers. M.V.P. Joe Schaeffer tallied 17 points and three treys. On the season, Schaeffer led the League in three-point shooting with 28 treys in seven games.
