A Nesquehoning woman has been committed to the county prison following her arrest on drug counts.

Police Chief Sean Smith said Diane McFadden, 318 E. Catawissa St., has been charged as the result of a search warrant served on her residence on April 11, about 9 a.m. Police seized narcotics along with electronic equipment, cell phones, and a laptop computer.

McFadden was taken into custody and arraigned before District Judge Casmirer Kosciolek, of Lansford. She was committed to the county prison in lieu of $50,000 straight cash bail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 8, police said.

McFadden currently has two other sets of criminal charges pending in the county court.
