Bat program planned at Carbon County EEC

Carbon County Environmental Education Center is planning a program to update area residents on the issues affecting Pennsylvania bats. "Bats and Wind and White Nose," is scheduled for 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5.

CCEEC Chief Naturalist Susan Gallagher will present the talk. Gallagher has been lecturing on bats for nearly 25 years and witnessed firsthand the devastating effects of the fungal infestation known as White Nose Syndrome in local bats.The program is free and open to all ages.For more information, or to register call (570) 645-8597.
