Airman Samuel J. Chodur Jr. completes training

Air Force Airman Samuel J. Chodur Jr. graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Chodur is the son of Mary Ellen and Samuel Chodur Sr., both of Cedar Street, Nesquehoning.

He is a 2004 graduate of Marian Catholic High School, Tamaqua. The airman earned a bachelor's degree in 2009 from Pennsylvania State University, University Park.
