Pocono arrests

Pocono Mountain Regional police reported on the following arrests.

On Fricay, Sept. 21, about 12:02 a.m. officers were dispatched to 2162 Freedom Way, Coolbaugh Township, for a report of a domestic incident. On scene officers discovered Kamarl K. Hargrove, 27, of Tobyhanna. He was at the residence of his ex-girlfriend. The woman told officers she had a protection from abuse (PFA) order which stated he could not be at the residence.

He was taken into custody and charged with violating the order and placed in the county prison in Snydersville pending arraignment.

On Friday at 12:33 p.m. officers were called to the Walmart store in Mount Pocono for two males in custody of store security for retial theft. The two were identified as Michael Gielec, 23, of Swiftwater, and Robert Connors, 19, of Tobyhanna.

Further investigation revealed that the two selected merchandise from the store shelf that was printed on a receipt which they found. The two intended to return the items to the customer service desk for a cash refund.

The two were taken into custody. It was further learned that the two were wanted for theft related offenses. The two were charged with criminal conspiracy to commit theft by deception and retail theft. Connors was also charged with escape.

On Saturday, Sept. 22, about 3:31 a.m. officers observed three people in the Stonecrest Park along Middle Lane, in Blakeslee, Tunkhannock Township. One was identified as Jeri Bennett, 22, of Pocono Lake.

A check was run and it was learned that Bennett was wanted by Monroe County officials on a drug charge. She was taken into custody and found in her purse was a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. She was taken to the county prison in Snydersville. Other charges are pending, police added.
