Tamaqua driver cited after crash

A Tamaqua driver was cited following a one-vehicle crash early Monday morning, Oct. 29.

State police at Frackville said Matthew R. Martin, 32, of 5 Gamelands Drive, Tamaqua R.D., was operating a 2008 Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck westbound on Ball Diamond Road, in Ryan Township, about 2:10 a.m. when he lost control.

The truck went onto the north shoulder and struck a PPL pole with the front right bumper area. Martin was reported not injured. Troopers said he was cited for careless driving.
