A Monroe County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following an incident that occurred about 3:56 a.m. on Sunday, May 27, along Crestview Drive in Tobyhanna.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said officers responded to the above location, in A Pocono Country Place development, to a report of a vehicle stuck in a ditch.

The driver was identified as Quentin D. Thomas, 33, of Tobyhanna. He was initially found by development security and attempted to flee. Thomas failed field sobriety tests and was transported to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, for a blood test.

The DUI charge is pending the test results, police added.
