Lehighton Area School District Support Staff hosted a travelling Chinese Auction at various events throughout the school district this past spring. The fundraiser earned a total profit of $1,800. They have recently donated $900 to Lehighton Area Drug and Alcohol Task Force to help combat substance abuse in the area. The other $900 has been donated to Blue Mountain Health System for its Healthy Smiles, Happy Kids Dental Van that visits all of the schools and treats children whose families do not have a dental plan.
