They were married on Sept. 17, 1983.Quiet title actionsMid-Atlantic Acquisition, Inc., 1933 State Rt. 903, Jim Thorpe, has filed a quiet title action against Discover Bank, Jenkintown, and Citibank South Dakota, Sioux Falls, S.D., seeking declaration of clear title to property in Weatherly in its favor, including the removal of liens against it.The suit identifies the properties as Lot P22, 39 W. Main St., and Lot C17, 243 Hudsondale St., both in that borough, which was formerly owned by a Scott A. Hunt.The plaintiff claims it became owner of the parcels on Sept. 23, 2011, at a Carbon County Tax Claim Bureau Upset Tax Sale. Mid-Atlantic is seeking removal of liens on the property filed by Discover Bank in the amount of $5,301.74 and by Citibank in the amount of $13,370.25.Revenue from deedsCarbon County Recorder of Deeds Emmett P. McCall reported his office recorded 166 deeds, 219 mortgages and 331 other writs during the month of November.As a result of those transactions, McCall turned over to the Carbon County General Fund the sum of $26,241.69. A breakdown of that revenue includes: transfer fees, $21,011; data processing fees, $1,773.02; notaries, $40; commission on transfers and writs, $2,098.57; and Affordable Housing administrative fee, $959.10.McCall remitted $358 in state writ taxes to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Revenue, while Carbon County municipalities and school districts shared realty transfer tax disbursements totaling $104,331.28, the same amount that was forwarded to the state in realty transfer taxes.McCall deposited $2,145 in the Recorder of Deeds Record Improvement Fund and $1,430 in the Carbon County Records Improvement Fund, these being fees assessed by state law on each transaction for records management needs. An additional $15,463 was collected and remitted to the state for its Judicial Computer System program.Also, $5,434.90 was collected last month for the Affordable Housing Program in Carbon County.In all, funds collected in the Recorder's office last month amounted to $259,375.15.
