Seven area residents among 39 to enter guilty pleas

Seven area people were among 39 who entered guilty pleas to criminal charges in Schuylkill County court and were sentenced by Judge Charles M. Miller as follows:

Miranda Mooney, 22, of 1560 Penn Drive, Andreas, West Penn Township, pleaded nolo contendre (no defense) to a charge of simple assault on a crisis worker at St. Luke's Miners Memorial Hospital, Coaldale, sentenced to serve 12 months on probation, and pay $50 to Criminal Justice Enhancement Account (CJEA). On a charge of disorderly conduct was fined $100 plus costs. Mooney was cited by Coaldale Patrolman Joseph David. She was a patient in the hospital and the incident occurred in the Intensive Care Unit.Brianna Lynn Osceles, 20, of 43 Walley St., Brockton, Schuylkill Township, corruption of minors and selling or furnishing alcohol to minors, placed on probation 12 months, fined $1,000, pay $50 to CJEA, and $50 to district attorney's office. Bertsch St., Apt. 3, Lansford, fleeing Rush Township Police, sentenced to serve three to 18 months in county prison with credit for 112 days, and pay $50 to CJEA. On a charge of driving while his license was suspended, fined $200 and exceeding speed limit in urban district by 17 miles, fined $25 plus $100 costs.
