Two Tamaqua residents cited

Two Tamaqua residents were cited for allegedly assaulting another man on Oct. 20.

The Schuylkill County Communications Center received a 9-1-1 call at 3:40 p.m. from Andrew Stahler, of Tamaqua, who reported being assaulted by two males.

Stahler said the incident had just taken place in the unit block of Pine Street, across from the Tamaqua Rescue Squad. The victim had visible facial and head injures and was transported to St. Luke's Miners Memorial Hospital, Coaldale, in the Tamaqua Community Ambulance.

He identified one of his attackers as Joshua McArdle, 20, of 426 Arlington St. The second suspect was later identified as Hubert W. Budd, 18, of 431 Glenwood Ave.

Hubert and McArdle were cited for harassment.
