Pocono arrests

Pocono Mountain Regional police reported on the following arrests made by officers.

On Sunday, Oct. 2, about 11:42 p.m. officers were called to a residence along Briarcliff Terrace, in Tobyhanna, for a protection from abuse (PFA) violation in progress. Upon arrival officers spoke with the victim, who stated she had a PFA against her ex-boyfriend, identified as Christopher Carrasquillo, 26, of New York, N.Y. She further stated he was in the home and refused to leave. She related when she attempted to call police Carrasquillo took her cell phone and broke it and then shoved her.

Carrasquillo fled into the woods prior to the arrival of police. He was located about an hour later when he returned to the residence. He was taken into custody and placed in the county prison in Snydersville pending arraignment.

On Saturday, Oct. 1, about 1:17 a.m. officers made a traffic stop along SR196 at Simmons Road. Officers identified the occupants as Krystal Kearney, 19, of Tobyhanna, and Sean Adrian, 27, of Stroudsburg. A check revealed an active warrant for Adrian out of Montgomery County.Adrian was taken into custody and found on his person was a large amount of heroin and needles. He was placed in the county prison pending arraignment on drug charges and authorities from Montgomery County to pick him up.

Also on Saturday, about 3:57 p.m. officers were called to Bill's Shop Rite in Mt. Pocono for a report of a retail theft. Prior to their arrival officers were notified the female suspect was attempting to leave. When police arrived a store employee pointed out a silver Volkswagen traveling east on SR940.

Police stopped the car and the driver was identified as Kim Ciszek-Kane, 56, of Tobyhanna. She was identified as the person wanted in the theft incident. She was placed under arrest for retail theft, arraigned before a district judge and released on $1,000 unsecured bail.

On Friday, Sept. 30, about 8:06 a.m., officers were called to 6068 Boardwalk Drive, in Tobyhanna, for a domestic incident. An investigation revealed Yuliya Lynch, 24, was injured in a physical altercation. Charged in connection with the incident was Gary Lynch, 38. He was arraigned and later released on unsecured bail.
