Girl Scouts support community

Members of Lehighton Junior Girl Scout Troop 3248 have adopted an organization every year for several years. This year's organization was Trinity Food Pantry, which received $230. The girls have also donated to the Carbon County Friends of Animals, Carbon County Animal Shelter and the Lehigh Valley Zoo; as well as food, a food basket and a turkey to needy families. Also taking part in the project were Tatiana Gonzales, Jessica Hess and Grace Fitzsimmons and Sally Hess, troop grandmother.
