Right, Joan Bucello of Effort walked away with a tray, two vases, two candlelabras and ice cube trays at Close the Loop's Give and Take Day. Scheduled to be held at the Chestnuthill Twp. Park, due to the weather, it was held inside at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church. Left to right, Susan Abdool, Otto Faber and Marsha Abdool, all of Saylorsburg, thought it was a great event. "If there's something you no longer need, someone else might need it," said Susan Abdool. People could bring in gently used items they no longer needed. Rita Lacey of Close the Loop, was thrilled with the turnout. "Hundreds of people came out to give items a second life proving there are so many who care a great deal about our environment and helping people. There is so much good in this world." She thanks everyone who helped support the Give and Take Day and plans on making this an annual event.
